Business Writing
Though we all know how to write, business writing can be a confusing and intimidating
process. This course will teach you the basics of business writing, from designing
memos to creating reports. The skills taught in this class are necessary for
your success anywhere in the business world. Prerequisite: Basic English grammar

Using Excel
Microsoft Excel is a program of spreadsheets designed to organize numerical
data, contact information, inventories and more. This course will teach you
how to properly utilize this multifunctional software effectively and prove
yourself as a valuable addition to any business team. Assignments are emailed
to the instructor. Prerequisite: math skills, familiarity with a PC and any
access technology you use, access to a computer with Excel installed (Excel

Internet: Beyond the Basics
There is more to the Internet than email. This global information tool is a
vital part of any office environment, allowing access to information on practically
any topic in an instant. This course will show you the ins and outs of Internet
research and Internet security. Prerequisite: ability to use your own access
technology or successful completion of “Internet Basics.” OL. 5
lessons.
Business Communications
How you communicate has long-reaching effects. This course will help you understand
the proper ways to communicate in a business environment, using practical examples,
exercises and situations. You will learn how to speak, listen and use nonverbal
behavior on the road to success. B, C, LP, OL. 6 lessons.
Business Fundamentals
Understanding the basic concepts of business is important for gaining employment, advancing a career, or running an organization. After giving introductory information, this course takes a closer look at the significant parts of a business, such as management, human resources, and sales, to name a few. Case studies feature various business types and situations to help the student apply fundamental concepts. Course ID: BUS-101, B, LP, OL, (C coming soon). 8 lessons.
