I now feel confident about my ability to help visually impaired children. I know the techniques to guide them toward a successful life.

Bookshare.org is the largest online library for qualified, print impaired individuals, including people are who are blind, visually, physically or learning impaired. The library provides access to more than 90,000 books and 150 periodicals available in synthesized voice, refreshable braille or large print.
What is unique about Bookshare is that while many titles come from the publishers, most come from members and volunteers contributing to the library. The material is also content neutral and current. For example, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone was available to Bookshare members within four hours of the hard copy being released to the public.
Bookshare and The Hadley School for the Blind have formed a partnership. Bookshare is providing Hadley students with special membership rates in exchange for the contribution of Hadley supplemental course readings to the library.
