This resource lists 14 basic rules used when reading and writing contracted braille. Included are rules for alphabet whole-word signs, whole-word signs, part-word signs, and short-form words. Other rules for part-word lower signs, whole-word lower signs, initial-letter contractions, and final-letter contractions are also included. Examples for each rule are provided.
